Cantine Aperte: 600 open to wine tourists on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 May

Cantine Aperte is back, the great wine tourism festival which will be celebrated throughout Italy on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 May and which this year celebrates its 30 years of lifea. Nineteen regions involved with 600 wineries for a weekend full of initiatives and taste in the name of respect for the environment and conscious consumption of wine

Many entertainment initiatives scheduled in the various Italian regions, which express all the potential offered by the territories from north to south of the boot. In the mountains or in the hills, by the lake or by the sea to stroll through the vineyards on foot, by bike or on horseback, to listen to music, taste typical products on a picnic or suggestive dinner at sunset. All associated with a single common denominator: Italian wine.

“It all started 30 years ago from wine and the desire to tell about it on the part of the winemakers – he explains Nicola D'Auria, president of the Wine Tourism Movement – and as a Movement we are really proud to have reached a milestone with Cantine Aperte which has contributed, together with the other annual events, to increasing interest and passion in people. The results can be appreciated in the growing demand for visits to the cellar and vineyards throughout the calendar year. And it is an increasingly conscious request, of great quality and supported by the desire to learn and have fun at the same time. And this phenomenon of increased demand is reflected in the commitment and qualification of the reception by the cellars of the Movement, increasingly attentive to improving the offer but also to assume the role of point of reference on "hot" topics such as those of environmental sustainability and aware consumption of wine”.

It all started 30 years ago from wine and the winemakers' desire to tell about it

It is no coincidence that this year the Movement has launched a partnership with Sorgenia to encourage the adoption by members of renewable and clean energy sources. A precise choice of field that MTV has strongly supported in order to contribute with its members to the defense of the environment and people's health.

And in terms of health, there is also space for the collaboration just signed with Wine in Moderation, a unique coalition of responsible wine organizations that believe in a sustainable wine culture.

Valuable support for consumers through useful tools for presenting, selling and serving wine responsibly (www.wineinmoderation.eu/it). On the occasion of Cantine Aperte, winemakers will once again be promoters of a healthy wine culture of which conscious drinking is a part. A great opportunity to spread a correct and educational message.

And on the subject of messages, do not miss the social ones of one digital testimonial team that the week before Cantine Aperte he will "test" the planned initiatives and taste the wines at some of the Cantine del Movimento. About one fifty accredited Influencers will preview companies in Trentino, Marche, Tuscany, Umbria, Abruzzo, Lazio, Campania and Sardinia to tell wine tourists what to expect on 28 and 29 May. You will be able to enjoy these fun trailers by visiting i MTV Italia social channels (Facebook and Instagram).
