With the increase of digital payments there was also a sharp increase in online fraud attempts to extort money from account and credit card holders. To help families make informed purchases and transactions, Enel launches the new guide "Digital payment: cards and apps that make your life easier", the first handbook on the subject edited by Altroconsumo.

In Italy, contactless purchases grew by 29% in terms of value transacted, reaching 81,5 billion euros. In the first six months of 2021, growth was even more sustained. In parallel all over the world in the first months of the same year, the phishing emails, according to the latest report released by the Postal Police by 600%, with the increase in the use of topics related to Covid-19 to hit ever wider user bases.
