The film house has become famous for being the first to have developed a feature film entirely in computer graphics, showing the ability to combine art, technology and the innovative use of digital media to create original stories and characters still present in the collective imagination : it's about Toy Story – The world of toys. Then came the flaming cars of Cars, the cute monsters of Monsters&Co, the prodigal son Nemo, The Incredible superheroes, the journey through the emotions of Inside Out, the romantic Up.

With over 400 works including drawings, tempera, pastels, sculptures, sketches, collages and storyboards, and a very rich selection of video materials resulting from the work of a team of directors and artists, the exhibition Pixar. 30 years of animation curated by Elyse Klaidman and Maria Grazia Mattei for the Italian edition, it projects the viewer into the Studios – without the need for a trip overseas -, and into the creative universe of Pixar which arrives at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome from 9 October 2018 as of January 20, 2019.

The exhibition itinerary, designed by Fabio Fornasari, offers an interpretation based on the concepts of Character, History and World, three fundamental elements for making a great film. All enriched by two spectacular installations, the Artscape and the Zoetrope, which with digital technology revive the exhibited works and recreate the emotion and magic of animation.
