OECD: super index rises to 100,7 in June

The slow recovery of the OECD super-index continues, which rose to 100,7 points in June, from 100,6 in May. The indicator, which aims to anticipate the turning points in economic activity relative to the trend, continues to signal different growth patterns for the major economies.

In the euro area as a whole, the indicator continues to signal an increase in growth momentum. For Germany, the indicator points to a return to the growth trend while for Italy, which obtains the best rating, the indicator continues to signal a "positive change" in the growth of the economy, with the index rising to 100,7, marking the largest increase among the countries observed.

The index signals moderate improvements in growth in most major OECD countries, but a stabilization or slowdown in momentum in large emerging economies. This month's valuation is virtually unchanged from last month for all major economies, except for China, where the focus is now on a slowdown.
