OECD, GDP: Italy black shirt in the G20

The average economic growth rate among the G20 countries in the first quarter strengthened slightly (+0,8%), but Italy's numbers are the weakest ever: our country's GDP decreased by 0,8 % over the previous three months and 1,4% year-on-year.

Slight strengthening of the average economic growth rate among the G20 countries in the first quarter: the GDP of the area recorded an overall +0,8% compared to the previous three months, against the +0,7% recorded at the end of 2011. This was reported by the OECD, specifying however that once again this overall dynamic hides highly differentiated trends between regions.

In particular, Italy's numbers are the weakest of all the G20 countries: our country's GDP decreased by 0,8% compared to the previous three months and by 1,4% on an annual basis. In general, the G20 saw the annual change in GDP settle at plus 3,3%, the same level as the previous quarter.
