The unemployment rate in the OECD area stands at 8% in May, stable compared to the previous two months – The figure for the Eurozone, up to 12,2%, represents a new all-time high since the early 90s .

Stable unemployment in OECD countries. The unemployment rate in May 2013 in the area remained, in fact, for the third consecutive month unchanged at 8%. However, the slight increase in the Eurozone, +0,1% to 12,2%, marks a new historic record since the beginning of the 90s, while the gap between the Eurozone and the OECD average becomes increasingly ample.

In addition to the Eurozone, the unemployment rate also grew slightly in the USA (+0,1% to 7,6%), while it decreased in Canada (-0,1% to 7,1%) and Mexico ( -0,1% to 5,1%). The Japanese figure remained stable at 4,1%.
