OECD: employment is growing in advanced countries, Italy and the Eurozone are doing badly

OECD data released for the second quarter, which speak of an increase in average employment in advanced countries of 0,1%, to 65% – The Eurozone is down, to 63,8%, -0,2% compared to the first quarter and -0,6% on an annual basis – Italian employment is also down, which stands at 56,8%.

Average employment in advanced countries is growing slowly, but Italy and the Eurozone are going against the trend, the trend of which appears to be declining. This is the picture outlined by the latest data released by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, which take into consideration the second quarter of 2012.
in the analyzed period OECD area employment increased by 0,1% compared to the previous quarter, reaching 65%. The change compared to the same period of 2011, on the other hand, was 0,2%. 
Conversely, in the Eurozone employment fell to 63,8%, down by 0,2% compared to the first three months of the year and by 0,6% compared to the second quarter of last year. 
The Italian situation is even worse, with one new drop which is added to a base already lower than the OECD average and that of the euro area. Indeed, according to the numbers of the Parisian institution, Italian employment in the second quarter fell by 0,1% compared to the first quarter and by 0,2% on an annual basis, thus settling at 56,8%.
