Nuclear Iran, Rohani: "We will sign an agreement only after the sanctions are withdrawn"

President Hassan Rohani has declared that Iran will accept the nuclear deal only after the removal of sanctions - A position that again cools down the nuclear negotiations with the West but in the meantime Iran enters the AIIB, the large infrastructure bank that competes with the World Bank

Nuclear Iran, Rohani: "We will sign an agreement only after the sanctions are withdrawn"

First braking on the road to agreement on Iranian nuclear power. The president of Iran Hassan Rohani, on the occasion of the National Nuclear Technology Day in Iran, announced in a speech broadcast on state television that it will not sign any agreements until all international sanctions are lifted.

In the agreement signed in Lausanne a few days ago, however, the Western countries had granted the revocation of the sanctions only following a possible positive outcome of the verification that will be carried out by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Two absolutely opposite positions that cause a new freezing of relations between Iran and the West on the issue of nuclear.

Rohani's statements come after that Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), a multilateral financial institution to which more than 50 countries are members, has accepted Iran's entry. Member countries such as China, Great Britain, Italy, India and the United Arab Emirates have also given the go-ahead for Iran's entry into the Aiib.
