Giovanni Bossi, banker and former CEO of Banca IFIS, will continue to deal with non-performing loans, a market in which he is one of the leading experts in Italy, through the new Cherry 106 platform, of which he is on the board as CEO, with Giuseppe Benini as president. The operation started with the purchase of Cassiopea NPL, a financial intermediary entered in the register pursuant to art. 106 TUB, through a capital increase following which the manager from Trieste holds 65% of the shares. The intermediary was renamed Cherry 106 and already currently has the acquisition and management of Npl portfolios as its core business.
The initiative comes a few months after the launch of Cherry Bit, the platform that uses artificial intelligence in the world of credit, presented last September to operators specializing in operations on non-performing assets. The intervention in Cherry 106 was completed following the authorization already obtained from the Bank of Italy to change the ownership structure. At the same time, the statute was also amended, expanding the activities that can be exercised and the corporate bodies were renewed.
