Surprise wedding: Mediolanum of Doris and Berlusconi enters Nomisma, founded by Romano Prodi

Nomisma, the economic research company founded thirty years ago by Prodi and now restructured by Modiano, finds new partners with the capital increase and among these emerges mediolanun, the asset management company controlled by Silvio Berlusconi's Fininvest and by Ennio Doris. Sita: "The process is not finished, but the commitments have been made".

Nomisma and Silvio Berlusconi: an incredible marriage that becomes reality. It is the small economic and financial miracle resulting from the latest capital increase, for two million euros, by Nomisma, the research institute founded almost thirty years ago by Romano Prodi and now led by Pietro Modiano. In fact, among the subscribers is Mediolanum, the bank of Ennio Doris owned by the Fininvest group.

“I can't yet say how much Mediolanum will receive – says the vice president of Nomisma, Luciano Sita – because the process has not yet been completed, but the commitments have already been made”.

The capital increase, explains Sita, saw the strengthening of the company's historical partners (in which about a hundred shareholders participate, including the main Italian and foreign banks) and the entry of some new travel companions. Among the latter, in addition to Mediolanum, the private University of Bari also appears.

The resources will be used by the Bolognese institute to strengthen a series of research areas and put new products on the market, directing studies towards topics of general interest such as public services, immigration, health, welfare.
