Nomisma, Piero Gnudi on pole for the presidency

Piero Gnudi is in pole position to become the next president of Nomisma and succeed Pietro Modiano. The indiscretion, released a few weeks ago in a Bologna newspaper, is confirmed by circles close to the board of directors of the research center founded by Romano Prodi.

Seventy-six years old, accountant, president of the board of statutory auditors of Nomisma in the early days of the institute, Piero Gnudi boasts an excellent curriculum: former president of Enel and minister of sport in the Monti government, he was a member of numerous boards of directors or trade union boards of companies such as Eni , Enichem, Credito Italiano.

His return to Nomisma would be accompanied by a relaunch of the study center which, in the coming years, intends to animate the economic and political debate even more than today, possibly making agreements with another think tank in Bologna, the Mill and with the university. They are all realities (Nomisma, the Mill, the Faculty of Political Science) that overlook Bologna's Strada Maggiore, a name that wants to be a cultural route to travel.

Before the games can be said to be done, however, it is necessary to go through the scrutiny of the Nomisma shareholders' meeting, which should meet in the second half of April. The name of Gnudi is currently the one that meets with the greatest consensus.
