Alessandro Maria Decio, Chief Risk Officer of the UniCredit Group, commented on the new appointments as follows: “Massimiliano Fossati is a high-level professional who has gained extensive international experience in risk management and will now be able to continue to contribute in Italy. I am convinced that these internal appointments can further improve the risk management function and demonstrate the solid managerial basis of our Group. I thank Juergen Kullnigg for the work done so far and which will continue in Austria, another key market for UniCredit”.

Massimiliano Fossati, 44 years old and with a degree in Economics, began his experience in 2000 in Locat SpA In 2004 he moved to the Czech Republic as Credit Managing Director of Živnostenská banka and became its CRO in 2005. In 2008 he assumed the position of CRO in Yapi Kredi Bank (Turkey) and, since June 2010, he has been CRO of UniCredit Bank Austria with responsibility for Austria and CEE markets.

Juergen Kullnigg, 51 years old and with a law degree, began his experience in UniCredit in 1995 in Vienna, within the banks that would later merge into the Group. After gaining various experiences in Trade Finance, he took over the leadership of the International Credit Department in Austria in 2000. From 2010 to 2012 he was the Head of Credit Operations Italy and, from May 2012, CRO Italy.
