Public nominations, another 50 seats up for grabs

The government's nomination dossier includes not only the renewals of the subsidiaries - starting with the CDP and the Fs - but around fifty other positions in public bodies and bodies that appeal to many: this is what it is all about

Public nominations, another 50 seats up for grabs

On the agenda of the Draghi government, the nomination dossier does not only concern the renewal of expiring positions in the main investee companies - CDP e state Railways in the head – but also about fifty seats from public institutions and bodies which it would be superficial to define as second-class, even if they don't have the importance of large public groups.

Already last week the Minister of Infrastructure, Enrico Giovannini, started the procedures for the appointment of most of the Port authorities: from that of the northern Adriatic Sea to that of the central Adriatic Sea up to those of the southern Adriatic Sea and eastern Sicily, to which the new leaders of the port authorities of the western Sicilian Sea and the Sardinian Sea should soon be added. As soon as it is operationally established, the Government will also have to proceed with the appointment of the new Port Authority of the southern Tyrrhenian and Ionian seas.

But up for grabs, as he recalled a few days ago The Sun 24 hours, there are not only ports. There would be Rai, where, unless there is a general turnaround to change both the President and the CEO, the result of other political eras, two new members of the board of directors indicated by Parliament will have to be appointed in any case.

Then there is to complete the composition of top authorities: a new member of theAntitrust (Agcm) and, by July, a new member of the Consob, which supervises the Stock Exchange and the financial markets. New appointments also await the Supervisory Commission on Pension Funds (Covip), the president and the entire board of directors of the Higher Institute for Environmental Research (Ispra) and of theIsmea (Institute of services for the agricultural food market), theI became established and park authorities.

The menu is rich and the hope is that the new wind blowing with the Draghi government will lead to quick and above all competent appointments.
