Today Jordan Lombard will be elected president of Assogestioni. Lombardo until now held the position of interim president after the resignation of his predecessor, Dominic Siniscalco. Lombardo, vice president of Pioneer Investment Management and of which he is also chief investment officer, therefore puts the seals of the asset management group of UniCredit on the managers association.
All the external candidates were therefore skipped and Assogestioni made the most logical choice in the name of continuity. Among the external candidates were the former minister of economy and finance Victor Grilliand the economist Marco Onado (dealing with asset management as chairman of Pioneer Investments and director of Capitalia sgr e Fineco sgr).
