Appointments, Cpd strengthens the team: 5 new managers

Pasquale Salzano is the new Chief International Affairs Officer, Andrea Montanino of Chief Economist, Alessandra Ferone has been appointed Chief Risk Officer, Manuela Sabbatini Chief Audit Officer and Marco Doglio Chief Real Estate.

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti has appointed five new managers chosen from external professionals and internal managers. The company communicates it through a note.

In detail, Pasquale Salzano is the new head of the international affairs office, Andrea Montanino as chief economist, Alessandra Ferone has been appointed head of the risk office, Manuela Sabbatini as head of the Audit office and Marco Doglio as head of Real Estate.

The appointments, explains Cdp, "are part of a context of ever greater coordination and synergy between the Group's activities - Salzano, Montanino and Doglio also assume positions at the top management of investee companies - and highlight the enhancement of internal skills and professionalism with the growth by Sabbatini and Ferone”.

As head of the international affairs office, Pasquale Salzano, diplomat and former ambassador to Qatar, will also assume the position of president of Simest and will have the task of directing the Group's international relations. Before joining the CDP, Salzano was executive vice president and director of institutional affairs of Eni, head of the G8/G20 sherpa office in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers during the Italian presidency of the G8 in 2009, director at the OECD.

The chief economist Andrea Montanino he was also appointed president of the Fondo Italiano di Investimento and is also the new head of "Cdp Think Tank", which includes the structures dedicated to analysis, study and research activities. General Manager at the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Montanino has held numerous positions during his career including, executive director and member of the board of the IMF, economist at the European Commission, director of the Centro Studi di Confindustria.

Alessandra Ferone, head of the Risk Office, will have the task of overseeing all activities aimed at credit assessment as well as the mitigation of financial, non-financial and compliance risks, while Manuela Sabbatini, who has assumed the role of Chief Audit Officer, will have to oversee the completeness, adequacy and functionality of the overall internal control system. In the end Marco Doglio, already appointed managing director of Cdp Investimenti Sgr last November, has taken on the role of Chief Real Estate Officer of the Cdp Group, with the task, among others, of supporting the definition of real estate sector strategies at group level, coordinating related activities.
