The government has reached an agreement on the appointments in the state-owned companies. Green light therefore for the division by Meloni with the surprise of the tandem Scaroni-Cattaneo at Enel. Let's see the decisions communicated by the government.
Appointments: off to the division, Enel is the real novelty
After a tug of war that has intensified in the last few hours, the government has communicated the decisions for the renewals of the top management in the most important state-controlled companies. The real novelty is Enel where Paolo Scaroni is back, having already been its managing director from 2002 to 2005 before moving on to Eni and who is now president of Milan and vice president of Rothschild. Scaroni will be president alongside Flavio Cattaneo, former CEO of Terna, Rai and Ntv and today vice president of Italo, on which the League has set its feet. “Meloni cannot decide everything”, was Matteo Salvini's aut aut who strongly pushed for this ticket with Forza Italia. Leaves Francesco Starace, the CEO who transformed Enel for 9 years making it an international giant, a world leader in the production of renewable energy and the first group by capitalization on the Milan Stock Exchange.
And so Paolo Scaroni will be president with Flavio Cattaneo CEO despite Giorgia Meloni's preferences going to Terna's CEO Stefano Donnarumma which will predictably move to Cdp Venture leaving the place at the helm of Terna to a woman, Josephine of Foggia (now at Nokia) joined by Igor De Biasio, linked to Salvini. The CDP will communicate the names of the entire board of directors on Thursday 13 April. Returning to Enel, the following enter as directors: Alessandro Zehenter; Johanna Arbib Perugia; Fiametta Salmon; Olga Cuccurullo”.
