Nokia, for the first time no dividend to shareholders

This year Nokia, for the first time since its foundation, will not pay any dividends to its shareholders. This was announced by the Finnish company, which has decided to "hold" fourth-quarter earnings to support the recovery, avoiding having to draw on its own reserves.

In the fourth quarter, as mentioned, Nokia returned to profit after a year and a half, recording profits of 202 million euros (5 cents per share), against losses of 1,07 billion in the same period of 2011 (-29 cents per share). The analysts were positively surprised, who were expecting losses of 7 euros per share.

Despite the good results obtained between September and December, throughout 2012 Nokia recorded losses of 84 cents per share against 31 of the previous year. Sales fell more than expected, dropping 20% to 8,04 billion euros.
