Nissan, Ghosn remains in prison: another arrest warrant

There is no peace for Carlos Ghosn. After last month's scandal, against the now former number one of the alliance Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Motors a new arrest warrant was issued. This was reported by some Japanese media, specifying that the manager will also have to face some new charges.

Ghosn had already been arrested on November 19 in Tokyo for alleged financial wrongdoing and the media had already announced that he would remain in prison until the end of the year, or even beyond. But yesterday the Tribunal, with an unexpected decision, rejected the prosecutor's proposal to extend Ghosn's custody.

Bail seemed imminent and Ghosn had already said he was ready to leave prison to "restore his reputation". But today the new arrest warrant arrived, which provides for another 48 hours for the interrogation on the new charges, among which there is also the "breach of trust". The life of this case can then be further extended.
