Nintendo: goodbye to the man of the rebirth, dead Satoru Iwata

Mourning at Nintendo for the premature death of Satoru Iwata, the president of the Japanese company specializing in the production of video game consoles. Iwata passed away on Saturday 11 July due to cancer he had been battling for some time. The Kyoto company announced Iwata's death only tonight with a statement on its website.

Iwata he was 55 years old and had entered the Nintendo in 2000. After two years he had been named president of Nintendo, the first not belonging to the founding Yamauchi family. Nintendo's No. 1 had contributed significantly to the rebirth of the Nintendo group after a period of tarnishing between the 90s and the early XNUMXs.

It was his credit for opening Nintendo up to less experienced players, and the success of the game is to be attributed to Iwata DS handheld console and the absolute novelty of the Nintendo Wii.

In the last year Iwata had also paved the way for Nintendo in smartphone games and was working hard to bring to light the next novelty of the Japanese company in terms of consoles: the Nintendo NX. Now at the helm of Nintendo will be Genyo Takeda and Shigeru Miyamoto, two other central figures in the history of the Kyoto company.

Meanwhile, Nintendo's social channels have announced that they are paying homage to the memory of Satoru Iwata by not publishing any content on video games today. Here is the Italian one.
