Another bad blow for Donald Trump. Democrats also won the governor's seats in the states of New Jersey and Virginia, as well as obtaining the confirmation of the mayor of New York, Bill De Blasio.
The Italian American beat out New York state lawmaker Nicole Malliotakis who accused him of everything from office naps to questionable financing practices during the 2013 municipal elections.
De Blasio also got the better of the independent Richard 'Bo' Dietl, a former detective with the Big Apple police department, who painted de Blasio as a corrupt politician who does favors for his financiers.
Meanwhile, during his visit to South Korea, the American President criticized the defeated Republican candidate in Virginia: "Gillespie did not embrace me and what I represent".
Ed Gillespie worked hard but did not embrace me or what I stand for. Don't forget, Republicans won 4 out of 4 House seats, and with the economy doing record numbers, we will continue to win, even bigger than before!

As for Virginia, this State has the first transwoman elected to a state Congress: it is the 33-year-old Democratic journalist Danica Roem, who wins the seat in Richmond.
