Netflix inflames Wall Street, Piazza Affari slows down

New opening records for S&P and Nasdaq with sparks from Netflix gaining another 10% thanks to the "beautiful accounts" - Piazza Affari below parity - Buzzi, Banco Bpm, Italgas and Finecobank up - Sales on Ferragamo, Ferrari, Leonardo and Atlantia.

Piazza Affari closed slightly down, -0,22%, 23.836 points, in a multi-speed European context. Frankfurt takes the lead, +0,71% (13.559 points), which marks an all-time record, boosted by the Zew index in January, on the confidence of German institutional investors, which rose to 20,4 points against estimates which gave it to 17,7. Positive Madrid, +0,24% and London +0,21%; little move Paris -0,12%. Wall Street is once again traveling to record levels, with Netflix currently up 10,6%, thanks to the brilliant results released yesterday after the market was closed. Twitter, on the other hand, is losing share, after the confirmation of the departure of its chief operating officer, who becomes CEO of Social Finance.

Two days after the ECB meeting, the euro remains tonic against the dollar, in the 1,227 area. Among the raw materials, Brent takes flight, which travels around 70 dollars a barrel and, according to the forecasts of the BBL commodities fund, North Sea oil could touch 80 dollars this year due to the continuation of the OPEC cuts and of inventory thinning in the United States. Gold appreciates moderately, around 1338 dollars an ounce.

Positive session for the Italian secondary, despite the warnings that are being raised by many quarters against the risk of dropping reforms in Italy after the elections. Investors maintain a certain propensity for risk, evidently relying on post-election reasonableness. The yield of the 10-year BTP falls to 1,89%, while the spread with the German ten-year bond narrows to 132.70 basis points (-3,77%). Furthermore, according to many observers, Frankfurt will proceed with a gradual reduction of the monetary stimulus, but the changes to the 'forward guidance' will hardly be announced at the next meeting on Thursday.

In Piazza Affari the best blue chip today is Banco Bpm, +1,81%, which benefits from the confirmation of the 'buy' recommendation by Banca Imi with a target price of 3,8 euros. Among the banks, Bper also closed a positive session, +1% and Ubi, which reversed course at the end of the session and managed to gain 0,48%. Float Understanding +0,06%; while Unicredit dropped 0,73%. Outside the main price list, Creval sinks -4,6%.

In asset management, Finecobank shines, +1,79%, which updates its all-time high to 9,935 euros, benefiting from the recent confirmation of the 'buy' by Kepler Cheuvreux with a target price of 10 euros.

Among the oil companies, the most popular is Saipem, +1,57%. Buzzi did well, +1,44% and Telecom +1,23%, while we think about new aggregations in Tlc at European level.

The red side of the list is occupied by Ferragamo, -2,12%, after yesterday's purchases due to the positive shock wave from Ynap (-0,16%). Even the latter is down slightly today and just below the takeover bid price announced by Richemont at 38 euros per share.

Ferrari broke down, -1,72%. Down Leonardo -1,15%; Atlantia -1,33%; Pirelli -1,15%. Among the mid and small caps, Trevi rises by 19,84%, while expectations are growing for the restructuring and relaunch plan of the Cesena company, owned by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Equity.

Super popular Mondadori +8,52%, in the wake of rumors about an offer from the publisher Reworld Media for Mondadori Franc. Good Gima Tt +5,35%.
