The future of e-commerce in Italy, the 'tailored' delivery service, the improvement of the customer experience, the evolution of the digital payment system: the participation of Poste Italiane in the Netcomm Forum revolves around these themes, the main Italian event dedicated to online purchases and the digital transformation of companies.

Poste Italiane – the only player able to assist e-commerce operators both for payments, through Apps, and in the shipment and delivery of items, through new products and services – is engaged in a constant effort to innovate and optimize processes to respond more effectively to market demands and changing customer needs.

Among the new services presented at the Netcomm Forum: "ScegliTu" which allows you to manage and modify parcel shipments after purchase, offering the possibility of delivering to a different address, indicating a trusted person to whom to deliver the parcel or changing the delivery day.

The most important novelty is "PuntoPoste", the new network for accessing postal and e-commerce services, active since April, which integrates affiliated shops including tobacconists, collection points and "lockers" (automated electronic lockers that to date there are 290) and which is added to the approximately 12.800 post offices throughout the country.

During the two days in Milan, "Paga con Postepay", the service for accepting digital payments by e-commerce operators, will be presented.

The solution, from the seller's website or app, allows e-commerce portals to accept payments with Postepay cards for safe, simple and fast use, even on the move: "Pay with Postepay" in fact provides confirmation of the payment directly on the Postepay app without entering your card details each time, with a further increase in the degree of security of the transaction.

In the digital payments sector, Poste Italiane is the leader with a 25% market share in e-commerce transactions and with over 2 million e-wallets issued.

During the plenary session "Innovation as an engine for success" Marco Siracusano, Head of Payments, Mobile and Digital of Poste Italiane and CEO of PosteMobile together with Massimo Rosini, Head of Post, Communication and Logistics of Poste Italiane, will illustrate the objectives and company strategies.

Poste Italiane leads the country's modernization process, the initiatives in the field of payments and logistics place it among the leading companies in the e-commerce sector: 60 million parcels delivered in 2017 with a 30% market share in the segment “B2C”.

An important result achieved thanks to the integration between physical and digital networks and the uniqueness of the company's assets: 30 postmen, 4.500 couriers, 12.800 post offices in addition to 17 million apps downloaded, 16 million registered users, 1,4 million visitors per day on web and apps.
