The new register of current accounts and deposits is born

The super-registry of current accounts, established by the Salva-Italia decree law (Legislative Decree 201/2011) to combat tax evasion, has taken a step forward. The other day, the Privacy Guarantor expressed a favorable opinion on the provision of the Director of the Revenue Agency which designs the architecture of the new mega-archive. However, this is a "yes" conditional on acceptance of some indications from the Authority and also on future checks that the Guarantor will carry out on the new data transmission platform.

In fact, the tax authorities decided to abandon the previously identified infrastructure (Entratel) and, also following the highly critical opinion issued by the Authority in April on the first draft of the provision, to switch to the data interchange system (Sid), which Sogei should finalize by the end of December. The Guarantor, therefore, "reserves the right to verify in detail the completion of the functions of the new platform, even before commissioning".

Finally, from the analysis of the documentation provided by the Revenue Agency relating to the 2011 reports, it emerges that the majority of financial operators (77%) have fewer than 100 reports (more than 10.000 out of almost 13.000 operators) , while 260 operators (2% of the audience) have a total of more than 550 million reports.
