Alea iacta est. Mario Draghi presented to the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella the list of ministers of his government – 23 in all, including 15 politicians and 8 technicians – who will go to Parliament to collect a discounted trust in the Chambers mid-week. The biggest news, compared to the rumors of the eve, is precisely the entry into the executive of four great independent super technicians such as Daniel Franco, Martha Cartabia and Vittorio Colao e Roberto Cingolani.
Daniel Franco, who is the Director General of the Bank of Italy and who was also the State General Accountant, is the new Minister of the Economy, who will have to rewrite the Recovery Plan. The former president of the Constitutional Court Marta Cartabia instead becomes the new Minister of Justice. Vittorio Colao, the former CEO of Vodafone who had been involved by the former premier Giuseppe Conte last spring to manage the crisis, but whose contribution was then lost on deaf ears, will be the owner of Innovation and Digital Transition, while as the ministry of Energy Transition, strongly desired by Beppe Grillo and which will bring together Environment and Energy, will go to the physicist Roberto Cingolani, today Leonardo's top manager.
As for the other ministries, there are some confirmations: Luigi Di Maio to Foreign Affairs, Fabiana Dadone which, however, passes to youth policies, Roberto Speranza to Health, Dario Franceschini to Culture, Elena Bonetti to the family and equal opportunities e Luciana Lamorgese to the Interior. There will be three representatives of the Democratic Party in the new executive: in addition to the aforementioned Franceschini, the deputy secretary will enter Andrea Orlando (work) e Lorenzo Guerini is confirmed (Defence).
In Lega quota they enter the government Giancarlo Giorgetti, to economic development, Massimo Garavaglia to Tourism and Erika Stefani to Disability. In share Forza Italia the ministry for the South and territorial cohesion, which goes to Mara Carfagna, Renato Brunetta to the Public Administration, Maria Stella Gelmini, Regional affairs and autonomy.
