A decree to facilitate families with low incomes. All to be verified.

The Energy Fund is born. 200 million euros in aid for photovoltaics: 80% in the South

Two hundred million euros for self-consumption photovoltaic systems. The Minister of the Environment Gilberto Pichetto Fratin has signed the decree that intends to facilitate less well-off families. The measure Energy Income Fund, which has the collaboration of the Energy Services Manager (GSE), is revolving and for now makes the funds available for 2024 and 2025. In the first application, 80% of the money is directed to Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily. In these Regions the photovoltaic trend is rather slow. The boom came with the Superbonus 110%, then stopped. "We want to pursue a double goal - said the Minister - the social one of support for the most deprived groups and the environmental one, because we promote the use of renewable energy”. Everything to follow because the center-right has not yet shown a marked sensitivity towards low incomes. In the energy field, the measures have not satisfied either environmentalists or companies. Only the provision on the increase in power of the electromagnetic fields it hasn't passed, for now.

Specifically, for the new Fund it will be necessary to see how families with low incomes who are already struggling to pay the normal bills will respond. Also the part of the decree that concerns the increase of the Fund with a voluntary payment by Regions, Provinces or non-profit organizations it is yet to be verified. The beneficiaries belong to families with an ISEE of less than fifteen thousand euros or thirty thousand, with at least four dependent children. The systems to be installed must have a nominal power of no less than two kilowatts and no more than six. Finally, they can be made on roofs and surfaces, areas and appurtenances on which the applicant "is the holder of a valid real right"
