After the definitive green light, which arrived this week from the Nevada Authority, the merger between the Italian Gtech (the former Lottomatica) and the American Igt (International Game Technology) born a world giant games and lotteries. It will be called igt and will have its registered office at London, in the wake of what has already happened for Fiat and more recently for Sorin, which in the last few days got married with the American Cyberonics. All that is missing is the yes from the British court, expected shortly.
igt will be organized into four business units and will have operating offices in Rome, Las Vegas and Providence.
With the merger with Igt, the group makes a real leap in quality and is fully projected onto the international scene with a leading role. In fact, CEO Marco Sala, who is Gtech's number one and will remain so in Igt, comments: "The combination of Gtech and Igt makes it possible to unite two highly complementary realities, giving life to an authentic blue chip of the gaming market" .
