Deputies Valentina Vezzali, Angelo D'Agostino and Ernesto Auci, who recently left the Civic Choice after, with dubious democratic procedures, the secretary Enrico Zanetti decided to join the formation of a centre-right coalition, have decided to give life to Civici Europeans, an authentically reformist-liberal movement and convincedly intent on supporting the renewal of Europe which should start shortly thanks to the initiative of Macron and Merkel.
"The movement is open to all territorial representatives of the Civic Choice who have already declared their opposition to the choice of the Secretariat to merge with sovereign and anti-European formations such as the League and the Brothers of Italy, thus betraying the original inspiration of the Civic Choice , as well as to all those centrist and liberal forces which in recent years have moved away from the original lineage due to a personalistic and wavering politics”. Ernesto Auci of European Civics. “The goal is to proceed with the establishment of an important opinion force capable of bringing a pro-European vision into a centre-left coalition – adds Auci -, considered the only possibility for Italy to strengthen the first signs of recovery of the economy and to ensure that our country plays a leading role in Europe and on the global market”.
