“The President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, has taken note of the assessments submitted today to his attention by the Minister of the Interior, Anna Maria Cancellieri, regarding the complexity and delicacy of the technical obligations connected with the vote of Italians abroad, which lead us to believe the most suitable date of 24 February for holding the next political elections to facilitate the fulfillment of all the necessary formalities". This is what we read in a note released yesterday by the Quirinale.
