"Article 18 is part of the issue, not the whole. Tomorrow there will be a meeting to define the reform and therefore it is good to wait for the result". This was stated by the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, speaking from Vernazza on labor market reform.
“To be able to make a judgement, you have to see the overall picture – continued the Head of State -. We are waiting to see how Thursday's meeting goes, which must decide the overall framework of the labor market reform, which cannot be identified with the mere modification of article 18. I hope that there will be attention and measure in the judgment on the part of all. Then, of course, after the Government has given legislative form to the consequent provisions, the word will pass to the Parliament".
