Record Naples, Milan ko and Inter at the Atalanta test

The Naples of wonders also fold Milan and consolidate their leadership in the standings - If they don't want to lose ground, Spalletti's Inter must win, but against the former Gasperini's Atalanta it is never easy

Record Naples, Milan ko and Inter at the Atalanta test

Napoli gives a signal of strength, Milan of surrender. The San Paolo advance confirms all the quality of the Azzurri and the paucity of the Rossoneri: between the two teams, after last night's 2-1 draw, there are even 16 points, a huge amount considering that we are only in November and that summer those who are behind today spent as much as 236 million to "strengthen themselves". A paradox bordering on the absurd in light of the verdict on the pitch, which saw Napoli impose themselves by measure only by imprecision and randomness. In reality there has never been a match: Sarri's men have shown an overwhelming superiority while those of Montella the usual carelessness which, by now, is no longer even news.

On the shields precisely that Insigne inexplicably ignored by Ventura and instead pampered by Sarri: the results are there for all to see, with Lorenzinho scoring on the edge of offside (33 ', the help of the Var was decisive) and Napoli to lock down, at least for this round, the first place in the standings. “I would never give up on someone like him – glossed over Sarri. – We weren't as brilliant as other times but we still had 7-8 goals. We only kept the pace I wanted in the second half of the first half, but despite this we didn't concede anything to Milan”.

In the second half, however, the Azzurri continued to grind the game at least until the 73rd minute when Zielinski, who replaced Hamsik a few minutes earlier, bagged the 2-0 behind Donnarumma. Milan? All in a logical reaction of nerves, rewarded (so to speak) only by the individual talent of Romagnoli, splendid in signing a useless goal behind Reina for the 2-1 final. “The team has shown clear growth in personality and textures – commented Montella. – We have to improve in the last twenty meters but I saw a team present. We made some mistakes and this Napoli doesn't forgive anything, but I'm satisfied with the performance."

This evening however it will be Inter's turn, ready to respond to their rivals in the postponement against Atalanta (20.45 pm). San Siro promises to be a very interesting match, with Spalletti's Nerazzurri determined to win to stay in the Olympus of the championship and Gasperini's to do the same to once again surprise the Italian football scene. “We know their stature, they are a team of the highest level – the analysis of the Inter coach. – We will have to be ready on a physical level, Gasperini is very good in individual duels and could create problems for us. We have to get a result by force, the others run very fast. We want to give an important message both on the pitch and in the head."

The line taken before the break will not change: the winning team does not change. At San Siro we will see the usual Inter, therefore 4-2-3-1 with Handanovic in goal, D'Ambrosio, Skriniar, Miranda and Nagatomo in defence, Gagliardini and Vecino in midfield, Candreva, Borja Valero and Perisic in the frontline, Icardi in attack. 3-4-3 also required for Gasperini, highly motivated as always when he meets the least loved of his former teams. The coach will look for the coup relying on Berisha between the posts, Toloi, Palomino and Masiello in the back department, Hateboer, De Roon, Kurtic and Gosens in the midfield, Ilicic, Petagna and Gomez in the offensive trident.
