He said it during the conference call on half-year results, the CEO of Unicredit, Jean Pierre Mustier, answering an analyst's question on the rumors relating to a possible exit from Mediobanca's capital.
"We have already said that it is a purely financial participation - Mustier specified in any case - To date we are still below the break-even point and for us it is negative from the point of view of capital".
As for Generali, "at the end of last year, before the saga began, I said that I thought that for Italy, as a country, it was important to have a large independent and listed insurance company: I confirm this", concluded Mustier.
