Music: Generali supports the Trieste Trio Prize for young people

Generali supports the Trieste Trio Prize to valorise young talents engaged in the performance of classical and contemporary music.

Now in its nineteenth edition, the prize was awarded to the composer Gabriele Cosmi, selected among 58 composers from 19 countries around the world, called to compete in the composition for Duo, Trio and Quartet with piano and strings "Giampaolo Coral Award".

The competition, which includes 5 short unpublished works for Duo (violin and piano / viola and piano / cello and piano), for Trio (violin, cello and piano) and for Quartet (violin, viola, cello and piano), lasting between between 4 and 5 minutes each, assumed an international relevance for the quality of the participants.

The winners of the Trieste Trio Prize have the opportunity to perform on prestigious stages in Italy and around the world, thus facilitating the dissemination of the contemporary repertoire and encouraging knowledge of the different chamber ensembles. The winning composition of the 2018 Prize will be performed as part of the 2019 performance prize, which will coincide with the twentieth anniversary of the institution of the Prize. On this occasion, Generali will promote the two dedicated concerts, next spring, in Venice, in the "Lo Squero" auditorium of the Cini Foundation, of which Generali is an institutional supporter.

"Supporting talent, enhancing their qualities and the ability to innovate through research is a constant commitment for Generali - said Generali's Group Director of Communications and Public Affairs, Simone Bemporad - we are deeply convinced that music represents an important opportunities for cultural growth and contributes to enriching the experience of a community”.
