“My first Fender – said the Cambridge native artist on the occasion of the auction – was a Telecaster. My parents gave it to me for my 21st birthday. Then I bought a Martin D-35 acoustic from a man on XNUMXth Street in New York. I was going to Manny's to buy an acoustic guitar and this guy came up to me and he was like, 'What do you want?
