State museums free at Easter

The Ministry of Cultural Heritage also confirms the #Domenicalmuseo initiative for Easter which provides free admission to state places of culture - Open doors to enter the Colosseum without a ticket, the excavations of Pompeii and Metaponto, the Museum of Palazzo Ducale in Mantua, at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.

Two good news for lovers of art and archaeological history of our country. The Ministry of Cultural Heritage announced that i museums, the archaeological areas and state places of culture they will remain open both on Easter Sunday and on Easter Monday.

Furthermore, in the Easter Sunday, April 5, it will be possible to enter state museums and archaeological areas for free thanks to the ministerial initiative #DomenicalMuseo which provides for the gratuity of all the museums and archaeological areas on all the first Sundays of the month. Therefore, on Sunday not only will Easter be celebrated by visiting monuments, galleries, museums, excavations, parks and state monumental gardens, but you will also benefit from the #DomenicalMuseo event which provides free admission to hundreds of state cultural venues.

If you plan to spend an Easter day different from the usual and without spending a single euro, then why not visit, for example, theMetaponto archaeological area in the morning and move in the afternoon to Archaeological Museum of Sibari or enter the splendid Roman theater of Benevento and then be blinded by the beauty of Palace of Caserta or take a walk through the history of ancient Rome in the ruins of the Roman forum and Palatine and then be amazed by the spectacle of the splendid fountains of Villa d'Este in Tivoli, in the province of Rome or still choose among the many opportunities offered by the beauties of the city of Florence.
