Munster, van on crowd: dead and wounded

A van crashed into some passers-by in the city of Münster, Germany, causing deaths and injuries. According to the German media, there would be three dead and thirty wounded. The authorities have ruled out that it is terrorism: the perpetrator of the attack in fact is a 48-year-old German citizen with mental health problems, with no connection to ISIS.

The attack took place near Kiepenkerl square in the old city. Among the victims there is also the driver himself, who killed himself, as confirmed by the police, who cordoned off the area and asked everyone not to approach. However, the attack has a sinister coincidence: in fact, it takes place exactly one year after the terrorist attack in Stockholm, when a truck crashed at full speed among passers-by in the pedestrian shopping area of the center making a massacre. Chancellor Angela Merkel immediately addressed a thought "to the victims and their relatives". German police are verifying the existence of a second bomber. Meanwhile, the agents found a "suspicious object" on the van that crashed into the crowd.
