More and more in the eye of the storm, Monte dei Paschi di Siena Bank is seriously considering the possibility of undertaking "legal initiatives also against those - says a note released by the institute - who have been responsible, through audio/video, telephone and computer tools of any kind, for actions aimed at spreading false information about the bank towards customers "
The bank's objective is to protect itself against "these attacks", preventing them from creating particular inconvenience, damaging the institution in its relations with customers.
The note also reads that "In the last few days some branches of the Montepaschi Group throughout Italy have become the target, through different methods and tools, of attacks of various kinds which have involved, in certain circumstances, even employees, creating significant problems to the normal course of business.
For this reason, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena has mandated its lawyers to protect the interests of the bank in all the foreseen forms, both in criminal and civil proceedings, in order to prosecute those responsible".
