Monte dei Paschi returns to profit after three years and accumulated losses of over 10 billion. In fact, in the first quarter of this year the Tuscan bank recorded a net profit of 72,6 million with a gross operating profit of 614 million (+63% over the quarter).
The board chaired by Alessandro Profumo also approved the update of the business plan with a projection up to 2018, the year in which it estimates it will achieve a net profit of 880 million with a roe of 8%. The hypothesis of evaluating a marriage to anticipate the achievement of profitability objectives remains confirmed.
