Red of 1,15 billion for the Monte dei Paschi di Siena bank in the first nine months of the year, with a third quarter conditioned by the exams of the ECB which only closed him with a loss of 797 million. The board of directors of the bank chaired by Alessandro Profumo therefore decided to download the outcome of the Aqr of the European Central Bank to the third quarter: value adjustments on loans in the third quarter amounted to 1,25 billion, of which 790 million linked to the valuation that emerged during the Aqr of the ECB.
In the nine months, write-downs amounted to 2,46 billion (+60%). The operating result for the nine months net of value adjustments and non-recurring items grew by 16,6% to 1,6 billion. The capital position shows a Cet1 ratio of 12,8%. The data were published after the markets were closed: today in Piazza Affari the MPS share closed sharply lower, down by -6,48% to 0,635 euros.
