"My resignation will come shortly." This was confirmed yesterday by the president of Mps, Alessandro Profumo, who for some time had announced his intention to leave the Sienese bank after the capital increase which closed last week.
The manager did not give more precise indications on the timing and preferred not to answer the question on the possible decision to resign at the next Board of Directors: "The resignations are announced to the Board, also for a matter of respect towards the directors", he limited himself to answer.
Profumo didn't even comment on the possibility of mergers for Mps after the capital increase: "We'll see when they show up," he said.
