Bank president Monte dei Paschi, Alessandro Profumo, and the vice president, Marco Turks, can no longer be considered "independent" following the appointment in executive committee of the credit institution. This is what the Tuscan bank communicates in a note, after the cda had assessed the independence requirements.
Profumo and the Turks, writes the board of Rocca Salimbeni, "they had declared that they met the independence requirements" before the shareholders' meeting of April 27, "but the board, during the verification, declared them not independent, as members of the executive committee appointed by the board with resolution of May 3, 2012". The independence requirements established by the TUF for the directors Michele Briamonte, Pietro Giovanni Corsa, Paola Demartini, Angelo Dringoli and Tania Groppi have been verified.
