Today, at the BMps headquarters in Rome in via Minghetti, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena and Axa Mps presented "Previsionari", the new web environment that talks about pensions in a new, simple way and closer to the language of the new generations - The presentation, which launches the "Weeks of Welfare", was also the occasion for a debate.

Speak the language of the generation of the future to bring young people closer to social security. This is the novelty of Previsionari, www.previsionari.it, the web environment designed by AXA MPS and BMPs completely dedicated to social security, presented today in preview at the BMPS headquarters in Rome in Via Minghetti.

The morning then gave space to the topics of supplementary pensions and the commitment of BMPs and AXA MPS in terms of spreading a culture of pensions. Faced with the transformations of public welfare, awareness and individual responsibility have become fundamental elements for facing the future. Even the private sector is called to take up the challenge, with a commitment to build a new culture of protection, especially towards the new generations.

The improvement of the relationship with social security, especially for young people, today also passes through a revolution in the use of language and clear and transparent communication, with a view to empowering the importance of planning one's future in good time and own pension.

“There is still a long way to go to encourage the diffusion of a social security culture – he commented Frédéric de Courtois, CEO of AXA MPS. – Among the challenges, the most important is the need to replace the concept of supplementary pensions with that of "integrated" pensions, i.e. an overall approach to the issues of longevity and pensions, capable of incorporating supplementary pensions and Long Term Dear. Added to this is another key theme: the discovery of new ways of narrating social security, with particular attention to young people. It is in this context that Previsionari was born, the new web environment on social security capable of speaking the language of the generation of the future, with a view to making people responsible for the importance of planning one's future and one's retirement in good time. Talking about pensions today must go beyond business. It is a social duty that we have at the level of individuals, but above all at the level of market operators. And this also means being "forecasters" by a company, AXA MPS, which ranks among the leaders in this market".

During the day, therefore, space was given to the introduction of the new site forecastari.it, a unique portal of its kind in Italy, designed to talk about social security in a new way and with an immediate language. The portal, designed with the aim of creating a community of users who share interests and values, will provide, first of all in Italy, clear and effective answers to the questions that the navigator will ask about their own future and that of their loved ones. Among the main functions of the site, a Wiki, a pension encyclopaedia on pension keywords edited by a team of experts which collects, in addition to technical definitions, also exemplary explanations; a blog to interact with users on the topic; a game to "train" to think about the future in a fun way.

The appointment in via Minghetti then provided the opportunity for an open debate on the new social security challenges, also starting from the evidence of the Italian AXA Paper "The challenges of social security". The paper highlights how the identikit of the average young person grappling with the delicate subject of "social security" is that of an individual aware of the transformations of public welfare but still poorly prepared to face his social security future. The retirement phase appears to be a "remote future" for many young people entering the world of work, in the face of choices that are by their nature more complex given the long-term time horizon: if 41,4% of young people aged 18 and 24-year-olds say they want to plan for the future, more than 30% say they want to live in the present and not think about tomorrow. Furthermore, in terms of planning, 53,4% ​​of the interviewees declared that they were not interested in the social security issue because it was considered too distant in time. The excessive complexity of the matter is also among the causes that motivate this distance.

However, awareness on the subject is stronger: young people in fact - and in a higher percentage (21.8%) than other age groups - believe they cannot count on a "traditional" pension in the future. Although the compromised relationship with the future on a general level affects the propensity to subscribe to a supplementary pension, the interest in this type of formula rises considerably precisely in the younger age groups: 52,1% in fact think of subscribing in the future a supplementary pension.
