Ps balance sheet oncapital increase from 2,5 billion launched on October 17th and closed with one 96,3% coverage, far exceeded the bank's expectations.

Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA communicated that the capital increase involving 1.249.665.648 newly issued shares is fully subscribed for a total value of Euro 2.499.331.296. The new share capital of BMPS is therefore equal to Euro 7.453.450.788,44, divided into 1.259.689.706 ordinary shares with no indication of par value.

The assumption for the guarantor banks will be limited to 3,7%, equal to 93 million. The rights have been transformed into a share value of 58,9 million.

Banca Mediolanum and Tenax Capital are also among the shareholders of MPS

A surprise on who bet on the relaunch of the bank of Siena and on the plan presented by the CEO Louis Lovaglio there are also Banca Mediolanum, with 10 million through the group's asset management companies, e Tenax Capital with 5 million.

I unopted rights unexercised were thus allocated to investors with sub-guarantees for approximately 475 million (Axa, Dumont, Nexi, Pignataro, Algebris and others) plus 25 million from other investors.

Le eight guarantor banks Mediobanca, Credit Suisse, BofA, Citi, Credit Suisse, and the bookrunners SocGen, Sitfel, Santander, Barclays, plus Algebris will become shareholders.

Il new MPS shareholder base will see the MEF at 64,2%, the old market shareholders at 10%, the key internal investors at 20%, Foundations and Banks at around 4% and the banks below 4% but with their shares destined to be valued even in the short term.
