Monte dei Paschi would be ready to develop a program for the assignment of non-performing loans. The operation till it will be about positions up to 150 thousand euros pwhich represent 80% of non-performing loans. This was reported this morning by the economic newspaper MF, explaining that the Sienese bank has made contact with seven to eight subjects who should take charge of the various types of credit. The goal, not too veiled, is to immediately collect part of the sum pending the evaluation of the European Central Bank on the capital plan presented by Mps.
Non-performing loans with amounts exceeding €150 will continue to be managed directly by the bank. In 2014 Ps sold a total of around 16 non-performing positions with a gross book value of almost 1 billion. The last sale this happened a few days before Christmas to Fortress Investment Group LLC to which Mps sold a portfolio of medium and long-term secured and unsecured loans for a value of around 380 million euro.
