Banca Monte dei Paschi announced that yesterday it had carried out two issues of government-backed securities for a total amount of 7 billion euro. The bonds are divided as follows:
a) maturity 20/1/2018, coupon 0,5%, nominal value Eur 3 bn. (ISIN: IT0005240491);
b) maturity 25/1/2020, coupon 0,75%, nominal value Eur 4 bn. (ISIN: IT0005240509).
The bonds, backed by a government guarantee, were fully subscribed by the issuer and will be sold on the market or used as collateral to guarantee financing operations during 2017.
