Motor Valley Fest in Modena at the start: here's everything you need to know

The engines of that great piece of Emilia are roaring again, thanks to the first edition of the Motor Valley Fest, scheduled in Modenafrom tomorrow to Sunday. The event, free and open-air, takes the place of the late Motor Show, the historic appointment with the world of cars and motorbikes which for 37 years has given prestige and vitality to the Bologna Fair. The mourning of his disappearance had never been elaborated in the land "of communists, engines, music, good game, rich cuisine and classy Italians" described with masterful irony by Edmondo Berselli. So public and private bodies have put their hands on their wallets and organization, from the Emilia-Romagna Region (which put in 200 thousand euros), to the Municipality of Modena, BolognaFiere, Aci Modena, Edimotive Motori, Meneghini & Associati, Vision Up, Motor Valley Development. The four days wants to be “a great open-air celebration of yesterday's two and four wheels, today and tomorrow, which will celebrate the myth of speed and competition”.

On the other hand, some of the most famous and loved brands in the world were born on the Via Emilia, just to mention Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati, Dallara, Maserati and this area still today includes 4 international racetracks, 6 specialized training centres, 7 manufacturers, 11 exciting museums, 19 suggestive collections and 188 sports teams. The sector in the region has 16.500 companies, 66.326 employees, 5 billion in turnover.

For four days, visitors will be able to touch the car of their dreams, smell the smell of petrol, remember the past, but also to intuit the future. The event is divided into three sections: “Adrenalina”, with driving activities and experiences on the track at the Modena racetrack; “Innovation & Talent”, congresses and conventions in collaboration with Universities and the automotive and racing world; Expo, collections of vintage cars and motorcycles. Twenty years later, the brand celebrates this myth by exhibiting its five most iconic and representative versions. Among these, the very first Zonda C12 chassis, originally used for homologation crash tests, today restored to perfection by the Pagani Renaissance program and brought back to its original splendour.

Engines can be listened to, smelled and in some cases even tasted. In this 360-degree immersion in the land of engines the restaurateurs of the Modena a Tavola Consortium will let you discover and taste your favorite dishes by the drivers and personalities linked to the world of motoring. A journey that intertwines official history with personal anecdotes, which in this case pass through the memories of some of the restaurateurs who for years have welcomed drivers into their premises such as Michele Alboreto, Gilles Villenueve, Enzo Ferrari, Clay Regazzoni, Michele Alboreto and many others .
