MotoGp, it's Italy right away: Dovizioso triumphs, Valentino Rossi third

The MotoGP season gets off to a great start immediately for the Italian colors: in Losail, Qatar, Andrea Dovizioso wins ahead of Marc Marquez and the eternal Valentino Rossi, freshly renewed for another two years with Yamaha and who hits the 228th podium in the his endless career. There are even three Italians in the top five: with a great comeback, Danilo Petrucci, on the Ducati, takes fifth place.

In short, it picks up where it left off: the two dominators of last season are fighting for victory, up to the last corner, in particular of the last 13 races of 2017, which Dovizioso and Marquez monopolized, winning 11 of them, one and the other. For Rossi, on the other hand, last year's only victory was in the summer at Assen, in the Netherlands, while the last podium was second place at Phillip Island, in Australia.

The race is vibrant and the promising Frenchman Zarco, on Yamaha, immediately escapes with Rossi and Marquez in pursuit. However, on lap 18, with five remaining to go, the Frenchman was overtaken by Marquez, Dovizioso (who in the meantime had reassembled after a start that was not in the top positions), and Rossi, who then went on to fight for the win with Valentino slightly delayed compared to to the first two.
