Moody's: outlook cut for 82 banks, including Unicredit and Banco Popolare

Overall, the review also involved 12 German banks, 10 French, 8 Austrian, 5 Swedish, 3 Dutch, 2 Spanish, one English and 24 from other member states - Among the Germans is Commerzbank and among the French all the big Country: Bnp Paribas, Credit Agricole and Société Générale.

An avalanche of outlooks revised downwards by Moody's. The American agency confirmed the rating of 105 banks belonging to the European Union, Norway and Liechtenstein, but reduced the opinion on the prospects of 82 institutes to a negative level. Among the downgraded companies there are four Italian ones: Unicredit, Banco Popolare, Iccrea Banca Impresa and Banca Italease. 

At the opening today in Piazza Affari, the Unicredit share dropped 0,63%, to 6,28 euros, while that of Banco Popolare dropped 0,15%, to 13,60 euros. 

Overall, the review also involved 12 German, 10 French, 8 Austrian, 5 Swedish, 3 Dutch, 2 Spanish, one British and 24 other member state banks. 

Among the Germans is Commerzbank and among the French are all the big names in the country: Bnp Paribas, Credit Agricole and Société Générale.

Moody's decision comes following the review of systemic support in light of the new regulatory framework relating to European banking crises, including the single resolution mechanism.
