Danger escaped, at least for now, for Italy. the American agency Moody's, which she has always been the strictest with our country and its debt, it left the rating unchanged, limiting itself to updating the calendar of verdicts. Italy's rating therefore remains the same as it was assigned by Moody's in October, i.e. BBB3, one step just above the junk level of junk bonds.
Already yesterday the markets had sensed that, after so much fear, Italy would probably have escaped and in fact the Ftse Mib has broken through the magical threshold of 21 basis points, the spread is pulled back slightly and the yields of the BTP settled at around 2,5% This does not mean that Italy can sleep peacefully because the danger of a recession remains around the corner even if it is not inevitable and the public debt remains extremely worrying while the weakness of the budget maneuver sows uncertainty.
