After the cut in the Italian sovereign debt rating, the Moody's agency has also revised its rating on Intesa Sanpaolo and Unicredit downwards, bringing it for both to 'A2' from 'Aa3'.

The agency also cut the rating of some state-controlled companies, downgrading Eni's to 'A1' from 'AA3', Enel and Terna's to 'A3' and Finmeccanica's to Baa2. Finally, the US agency confirmed Generali at 'Aa3', changing the outlook from negative to stable.

Finally, the judgment on the debt of 30 local authorities was also revised.
