Monza, Villa Reale hosts an exhibition of plant installations

A weekend of culture and events on the theme "Cultivating Energies", with an exhibition of plant installations, various educational and recreational initiatives and a market exhibition for companies operating in the "green economy", agriculture and food sectors, of do-it-yourself and personal well-being – Among the novelties, a 6-metre-high vertical vegetable garden.

A weekend (June 7-8) of culture and events on the theme "Cultivating Energies", with an exhibition of plant installations, various educational and recreational initiatives and a market exhibition for companies operating in the "green economy", agriculture and food, do-it-yourself and personal well-being.

Among the novelties, a vertical vegetable garden 6 meters high, located at the entrance to the Villa Reale.

After the success of the first two editions, with over 30.000 visitors, on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June 2014, at the Serre della Villa Reale in Monza, the Festival degli Orti is back, organized by the Terralab3.0 association in collaboration with the Municipality of Monza, the Villa Reale and Monza Park Consortium and the operational support of the Lab[u] studio.
A vertical vegetable garden measuring a record 6 meters in height will welcome visitors to the Festival, whose theme, "Coltivare Energie", will address the existing relationship between horticulture and energy, touching on topics related to good practices typical of rural life today also developed in an urban context.

This theme will highlight the potential for development such as those generated by the earth and by contact with nature, through the care of green areas and a renewed relationship with the territory, up to the "immaterial" energies that are created within of the communities of urban gardens, of solidarity and of sharing a new philosophy of living, whose origins are to be found in the past.

The Festival degli Orti, already included in Expo Days 2013, aspires to become one of the flagship events of Expo Milano 2015 – Feeding the Planet. Energy for life that will also relocate the activities to Monza and Brianza. This year's edition will provide the opportunity to have an anticipation of the themes of the universal exposition, in a unique context such as that of the Villa Reale in Monza.
